An internal bra or mesh is used with a breast augmentations, or breast lifts. This product is used when extra support is needed to lift and hold the implant. As we age, we lose collagen and skin becomes weak. Mesh can be placed for stability, and desired lift support.
An internal mesh, is thin and flexiable scaffold. It is made out of bioloical materals, or synthetic materials. Some mesh is permanent while others not. Overtime, your body’s tissue will grow into or around the mesh. This will give extra reinforcment around the area.
The downside to mesh can be cost. It adds another veriable to the surgery which can add to the cost. Mesh is a foreign body and in rare situations can cause a reaction. If you think you maybe a candidate for mesh, or an internal bra talk to your board certified plastic surgeon.
